Tomatoes diseased HELP!
« on: July 28, 2008, 11:27 »
There is something wrong with my tomatoes plants. At first I thought it was leaving them outside which was causing the leaves to wilt as the ones indoors seemed ok but they are all going bad now (note i moved some back in to my conservatory). the leaves are in some cases going white they take along time to fall off. The tomatoes themselves seem to still be growing although they are taking there time to ripen. A picture i expect would be best if anyone thinks they can help I could send them some pictures?? Thanks JB

Any chance they are over watered? Hard to guess without seeing.

Regardless how bad they look, John, I'd think, it's a nutrition problem, got to revise your feeding and watering routine. Also, are they in a large enough container with a good rich compost in?

If so, get a tomato feed, follow label and do not over water or let go dry.

I don't know what the white thing along the main vein is, but might just be physical injury with the tip died back, however I'd take them off, these look more worrying in some sense.

Hi some of my toms look similar so I was interested to see what replies you get, so far I have just been cutting off the worst bits (ex hairdresser so love doing this!) but it's wierd because some plants are perfectly heathly yet others situated very near goes mangy, the toms seem ok though

They are in builders buckets (2 per bucket) with gravel
in the bottom and new compost. I did try feeding miracle
grow to all my plants but it tended to cause miracle
death so I binned it. Will look out for some tomato feed.
Thanks JB
