just emptied my 3rd sack of potatoes (maris peer i think) and found that a lot of the larger ones have bumpy patches that appear brown......are these okay to eat still? peel first??  :?:

Its sounds like  a bit of scab, a fungal disease of the skin. My experience is that it is no harm at all, but if it puts you off just peel away the bits that are brown.
