Black bag it and put it in the bin, work well don't they.

Why are you taking it down ?? too full or the smell ?

You can top  them up with water if it gets to low and as long as the dead flies get no higher then the bottom of the entrance it will still work.
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

Hmm perhaps I should fill it with water but the thought of messing around with it makes me heave... strange cos as a nurse I am not usually at all squeamish, I think it is just my disgust at the contents and yes the SMELL!!!!!

Will buy another on Monday as it has taken a couple of weeks for the smell to be obvious and perhaps put it further away from the house.

I fill mine with  a watering can and just pour it under the lid thing on the top. Only touch it when I bin it, it's vile but does an excellent job I've put this years in semi shade but it still seems to work as well and it still stinks as much

I think it smells a bit like pork scratchings!  Slightly tempting in a bad sort of way.

I'll get my coat.

Prettier jar though and less waste if you recycle (sounds less girlie than the pretty comment
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
