Ladybirds and blackfly

My cherry tree has been covered in blackfly on the new leaves and have been squirting them off with the hosepipe. Today when inspecting the leaves i found 5 ladybird lava on just a few leaves and guess what? No blackfly!

Glad I didnt spray it with anything chemical.
I havent seen any adult ladybirds though this year but they must be there somewhere.

what you want to do is get a spray bottle,vinegar,washing up liquid

put 2 table spoons of washing up liquid and 2 table spoons of vinegar then add water

spray on tree/plants and there you go all done

Saw 1 ladybird on my parents' plum tree yesterday. Lots of blackfly in our garden but no ladybirds that I've seen, larvae or adults.

well I have got them, but they are all harlequin ones. The ladybird-survey suggested that it was too late to stop them in the south. But i suppose they must eat aphids as well. Mrs Bouquet.
