11:42 Shame just found Little Speck unfortunately dead under the coop

She was ok ish early this morning. I think the heat actually was the last straw for her. One of my ex batts has not laid for 3 days and i don't know who. Trying to find a bright side I now have room for more chucks. Ok now i am after another 3 chucks I fancy some menorcans any ideas?

On the plus side the hot weather has allowed me to wash out the coup with

and dry. Just in case it did have anything to do with any nasties in the coop. Keeping the upper lip stiff. Wonder if I should start a foundation "for chickens that look like gismo" in her memorey?
