I think it's fantastic the way you look after her and so obviously care about her well being

Thanks Vember. She has Calcivet Liquid Calcium which should be here with in the next few days. Plus the cheese and the lime flower and the egg shell and all so the oyster shell.

Give her some yogurt or white fish. They are rich in phosphorous which is needed in balance with the calcium ! Yogurt of cause is rich in calcium too.

I have left Little Speck eating Parmesan in Limstoneflour. Parmesan was the only cheese we had in, plus its lidli stuff tastes good and half the price. Stopped feeding her as this arrived in the post.

Off this morning to purchase bedding for horses and proper animal cider viniger and those meal grubs. Oh and yoghurt.

She'll love the meal worms but be careful not to over do them, they're quite fattening and if your not careful she'll want them all the time

how is she this morning? bless her!
Oh and keep an eye on her breathing, particulary if she starts to look a little "full" around the belly -if she is not laying maybe a yolk may have slipped into her abdomen and can cause peritonitis -dont panic though (I know you do!!!

)it can happen with hens laying soft shelled eggs and a symptom can be laboured breathing as fluid builds up around the air sacs putting pressure on the lungs .It can be sorted though and often just gets absorbed back in to the hen but it can make the hen feel a bit peaky and lose appetite and condition.
You're doing a fantastic job with her -lucky hen!
