just a quickie...my incubator doesnt have any way of monitoring humidity... dont want to keep handling the eggs... have been looking for ways to check humidity and they range from 3.99 for a brass one, to god alone knows what for a digital... really want to have a successful next lot as no luck so far... is cheap ok? or do you invest in a dear one??

Looks fien for the job. Probably not spot on but depends how accurate you need to be.

I sent Naturesparadise something similar when he made his homemade one. He may be able to advise.

I would imagine they're correct to within about 5%.

Not sure where you've been looking as there are tons on ebay, including digital ones, mainly under a fiver too. hygrometers on ebay
btw the postage on your link is £5.95! so not sure who you are calling cheeky bees either ;)
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Would have thought price for price they'd be very similar in accuracy. Depends which one you find easier to read.

The dial ones won't need a battery  :)
