antihistimine cream is the best thing, should take the tingle away,

is it just me or do you get immune to the sting over time? it doesn't seem to bother me anymore, although i do take antihistimine tablets every day for my hayfever so maybe its that

and remember that if you rub where you are stung it makes it worse...just grit your teeth and ignore any stings, and it doesnt annoy anywhere near as much!

lucywil I think you might have a good point there. I get stung quite a lot on the allotment with nettles and I do walk round the edge of the site collecting nettles to use in the compost and as a liquid fertiliser.  It stings at first but then I don't even think about it - it used to swell up and get really irritated.

If you have an aloe vera plant break a piece off and rub the sticky secretions onto the sting....it will take the pain away :)
