'tomato' growing on a POTATO plant?!

I have spotted what appears to be a tomato growing on one of the potato plants, what on earth is going on?  :shock: i would post a picture but someone will say its photoshopped..  :?

Its normal - honest.

Its the fruit.  With seeds in.  Don't eat it, its poisonous.

I've always grown earlies so they don't get the chance to grow fruits.  The first time I saw them was at Ryton Organic Gardens and like you I was a bit  :shock:

it is normal.  Do NOT eat them they are full of solanine and highly poisonous.

I noticed the odd one or two on my main crop potatos too do I just leave them or do they need snapping off?
40 hens, 8 cockerels, 3 dogs, 2 rabbits, 8 chinchillas, 2 teenage daughters and O/H

Same Genus, 'Soleacae' (Solanum), like the climbing, flowering  shrub, which is related to the vines that Tarzan swung on in the Jungle, I'm not makinh this up, honest

Also 'Tamarillos' are from the same family, plus loads more

I saved some of these 'tomatoes' once and planted the seeds. I got some interesting results, but none worth saving. It was fun to do as I did not know if I would come up with a good new variety.
