How old are your birds ?

Did she have any other symptoms before she died, like diarrhoea or listlesness ?

Was she laying?

are the droppings sulphur coloured? do the birds show as being non active before death..not eating .and not growing very well prior to dying? have you had any contact with turkeys or game birds?are your birds free range ..... finally get a carcase into a plastic bag seal it .freeze it .. it has to go to a defra vet if any of the above show .im not saying it is but id take it anyways .but sounds like something we had in our pheasants a few years ago .. histamonisis ... the vet will advise you before anything else is undertaken .. hope you have a good result it can be treated if caught early....written by Muntjac

they free range from 7 am till 10 pm there run is next to two 8 week old embden geese im just hoping it dont spread to them .some1 was just sayin to me that its could just be a week batch or parents been breed to much

Is the blood clotting or fresh and bright?
Sounds like something maybe affecting inside and haemorrhaging -like aggy said is there anyway they could have got hold of rat poison?

Very blooming droppings could actually be cecal coccidiosis perhaps? Might be worth treating them for cocci.

I really feel a postmortem would be the way forward though and a trip to the vet.

well im not saying its what i said but i would take no time in seeing a vet and make sure no one else goes to the birds or has anything to do with them ,,,,,,,,, did u buy the geese in? when did the first chicken die ?.....written by Muntjac

im taking her for post mortem monday .about two weeks ago the first one died .the geese were brought in .

As everyone knows I know nothing about chokks but what about poisoming (rat poison - Warfarin would be the obvious culprit). Understand coccidiosis can cause blooming droppings, could it be this?
