leaves and leaders, flowers sparse, some beanlettes but very indiffferent crop.

Lack of heat?

To much nitrogen? Have fed them.

First time we've grown them, any advice?

We must have a different pressure than you then as we have loads of beans and on the borlotti.  (My daughter did all her landlady training in Enfield, it was on the main road, under a railway bridge on the way up to the hospital, we think it was called The Windmill?)

They demolished the Windmill about 6 years ago
New office building in its place - it's the Local Job Centre!

Used to play the first ever version of space invaders in there, maybe your daughter served me Wighty?

Sorry Alex got confused.  It was the Old Wheatsheaf she trained in, in Windmill Hill which is where I remembered the windmill bit from.  She was there for two years about two to three years ago.  She's now a landlady in Eastbourne.
