Runner Bean - Pest or what?
« on: July 10, 2008, 16:06 »
My runner beans have a a very small black shiny beetle in amongst the flowers - its about 1.5mm long and roundish.  I have a tiny bit of blackfly but spray these off with soap, but the beetles persist... any ideas?
Death OR Cake ???

Sounds like pollen beetle.

They do little damage & can actually assist in the pollination of the bean.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
