Lovely harvest of peas and broad beans tonight. Lovely cooked in olive oil and mint with new spuds from the garden and lovely tuna steaks.
Even my missus loves broad beans - before we grew them she hated them (having been brought up on the outgh, bland, horrible frozen monsters you get in the supermarket).
DOn't you find it's such a relaxing feeling working on your plot and harvesting what you've grown?
Love it - even our little ones are eating veg now and know what real peas and beans look like. Unlike in my childhood!!!
Just hope with all this rain that the blight doesn't come back again this year!
