I took delivery of my first lot of Diatom yesterday. Everybody on these pages extols the virtues of it at length and, having read the leaflet, it looks absolutely amazing. My question is: do you think one could use it on three daughters with long hair who occasionally bring head lice home from school? Surely the head louse is like the chicken leg louse and if the stuff isn't poisonous or damaging, why not? Any comments?

I like your thinking. No idea if it would be safe or effective but, like you say, it sounds feasible.

Either that or spray them with poultry shield    (not !)

I have found it makes my hands very dry if I don't use gloves & I don't have sensitive skin - Would be very wary of using it on children
