Tonights dinner
« on: July 05, 2008, 17:15 »
Dear All,

I only really get the chance to visit my plot twice a week.  This means that it is feast or famine with the veg in my house.

Tonight we feast!

I am really pleased with how much food I am able to produce from my 6 little raised beds. Cant wait till I get a proper allotment now.

Thanks

Raisedbed

Your carrots look smashing, yum you've made me think of my sunday dinner and reminded me to take the joint out of the freezer!

Well done!

Thanks for the kind comments.

The carrots have done really well.  This is my first season so I planted a real mish mash of vegetables to see what I could get on with.  Alas that means that I only have enough carrots left for another couple of meals.  Is it too late to squeeze in another row or two?

On the plus side my plot is in the father-in-laws garden.  His courgettes are begining to look good enough to borrow  and hopefully he won't miss the odd sweetcorn.

I think , you could still throw some carrots in.

Very nice all around, do you have a name for the purple beans, because the puprle one I'm growing apart from vigorous and strong grower is going down a treat with everybody, kids included, as best for flavour!
