Hi

I dont know if anyone will be able to help me, i have been to my local garden centre but didn't get any answers.

I would like to get a grape vine to grow seedless edible grapes, i dont mind what colour they are but they do need to be nice and sweet as i have 2 young children that love grapes.

We live in Essex, UK so the plant would need to be able to stand a frost as it will be planted against my fence, maybe an early producer would be best as they dont rely on a good hot summer??

Can anyone suggest a good variety for me.

There are three varieties to look out for that work well in the UK;

Seyval Blanc, Orion and Pheonix.

I have a seyval Blanc which was planted two years ago.  Great eating grapes but even better for wine production.

Do a goggle search on the net for suppliers of uk suitable vines - many do mail order.  Also chose your site carefully and ensure you prepare the ground well before planting.

If trained a grape vine can become a great garden feature that also yields a useful crop.

Are those seedless ones? I can't remember for sure as I never looked for those, but the seedlessness might be a bit tricky.
