Why have the leaves of my french beans turned white PHOTOS!!

The leaves were green a few days ago now they look like they have been dusted with talc??

Are they climbers or dwarf beans? Is it all the leaves, just a patch and are all the plant effected?

They are dwarf french beans and the whole of the leaf has gone a silver grey colour.

It could be leaf burn or a fungal attack. Last year I had a whole patch of beans effected by a brownish yellow rot that turn out to have been caused by a fox urinating on the plants - marking its terratory.

You say white then silver gray and I can't see clearly much. Try to look up white tip if it is anything like that.

As said can be the start of a fungal or bacterial disease, what I see and what you say sounds different though.

This is often discribed as white silvering, lot of sap suckers can cause similar damage.
