Planted 24 shallots as that was what the packet held. DH said 'we've got onnions, why shallots?' Have now got 138, I think that is a very good return for £1.99

I might next year stop growing onions and go 100% shallots as they don't appear to bolt like onions..

For some reason all of my shallot leaves have fallen over and the shallots are not ready yet. Not sure why this has happened as it didn't last year.

We are still eating last years shallots

all my red onions bolted but none of the white ones, 200 white and 75 red. \will obviously be eating the red ones first.

For the last 2 years my red onions have bolted so I am just waiting for them to do it this year as well. The onions are still very nice though.
