Courgette flowers dropping off?

I keep coming outside in the morning to find my lovley flowering courgette has lost it's flowers.
what could this be? I have about a million squillion ants in my garden, could it be them? the plants look really funny with all these stick poking up and nothing on the ends!

They're just the male flowers so you're not losing any courgettes as a result.

They don't last long before they fall off anyway.
