I got three one day old chicks yesterday two L/S X RIR and one L/Sussex.
I got them so our little lone one has some company and grows up with fluffs just like her. Bearing in mind our chick has never seen another chick in its two week life so it was quite a shock for her and she was well out numbered too. She is just such a polite little thing she let them push her around and have a peck at her so I was on hand for any punch ups as they are quite big these chicks but things seem to be settling down now so I hope this continues.

Oh bless....makes me wanna hatch some but seeing as I haven't finished my chicken house or got chooks...I think I should hold fire!  

How difficult is it to look after chicks this young? do you need any special equipment/feed etc? sorry...hijacking ya thread  :oops:
