cucumber, do I let it trail or give it a stick to clim

I have and outdoor cucumber (no idea what as was given to me). Do I let it sprawl, cane it or what??

I think you find a cane is not sufficient once it takes off!

You can let it sprawl, but beware of slugs!

I grow mine up some glavanised netting - it saves a lot of ground space - any strong netting would do.

Thanks. Hmm some thinking to do. We do have a few slugs frequent the patio. another job for hubby to do soon me thinks - errect some netting for me!
