That's not a run...it's an entire wilderness !!

What lucky hens. You could fit a good dozen or more in there and still not see them all day.  :)

That looks like a fine run! Just acquired (newbie) 6 pullets and discovered that they do indeed like to run! Yesterday they wandered oh so cautiously up the garden to the rabbit run. It was so funny to watch the rabbit-chicken stand-off and boy did I laugh when the rabbits scooted and the hens fled back to their house!

Can I ask... in your nest boxes is that shredded paper you have?
Lesley, loves growing beans!

A most impressive run, you NEED loads of girlies now.

I use shredded paper for my chooks and it works relly well. Only downside I have found is that if a wet chook lays an egg on coloured shredding you get "interesting" eggs and it does look a bit messy when it escapes onto the garden. Makes good compost when it has the addition of poo.

LOL!  He said that he WON'T be buying me any more sheds etc with his recent good news

Yes, I did use shredded paper this time, but normally I use dust extracted wood shavings just under the perch and on the floor of the shed and straw in the nest boxes, but I ran out

I'll post some pics of the new family when I get them but it's unlikely to be until next payday (unless I can convince OH to use some of his payrise     )
