Taken yesterday. Looked more foamy.

Taken this morning part 1 very wet and to the left there was another wet one i covered over last night.

Part 2

Foxy did say wait till the poo comes.

They do have good points and the poo smells better than dog or cats.

The first one looks like a caecal poo and nothing to worry about.

The other two look a bit wet which could just be the hot weather.  Hens drink more when hot to cool down.  And they don't sweat

Keep an eye on them for any other symptoms and make sure they are eating a good diet. Plenty of pellets and short grass if possible.

Let us know if it doesn't resolve.

I have a runny hen today Aunt Sal.  Her butt was very black with dried poo so didn't want her getting flies round her wotsit so I gave her a bath round her back end, rinsed her off and towelled her dry.

I think she may have ate too much cauli leaf last yesterday as she is a bit of a pig, so she's now on pellets only til she gets back to normal

Can I ask, what is a caecal poo?
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

The caecum of the chicken aids better digestion of some fibrous foods and grains.

They tend to be very pastey mustard to brown in colour and VERY smelly

Have a look at the poo gallery in the Poultry Information section.

Aunt Sally, could you give some detailed instructions on how to get to the poo page please. I often read posts that refer to the information section, but I can never find anything. I just go 'round and 'round in circles until I give up  :(
Thanks
