For veg and herbs I use C N Seeds (www.cnseeds.co.uk) - cheap & seed always seems fresh.

Don't know about potatoes for Christmas but if you have a Potato Fair near you in Jan/Feb/March, I would recommend for potatoes - ours also had onions, shallots, and quite a few varieties of peas and beans for sale by the half pint - all very reasonable.

For seeds I would recommend Real Seeds (realseeds.co.uk) - I bought 9 different veg and all had excellent germination rates and are growing well.

Raspberries I bought from my local garden centre (Wyevale I think) and they are great, however I bought 2 varieties - 5 stems of each - one was supposed to be earlier than the other but they both come at the same time. With hindsight I would have got 1 early and 1 autumn variety.

Best of Luck

Spuds are expensive though. Lady Christl for example are over three times the price I paid for mine, even before you add postage on.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

They seem reasonable, but have you looked at what you get?
For example....

Autumn King Carrots

More Veg  150 seeds for 50p
T & M       2000 seeds for £1.49
Moles       20,000 plus for £2.25 !!

Musselburgh Leeks

More Veg  50 seed for 50p
T & M       350 seed for £1.89
Moles       3,200 plus for £2.40!

If you mean Chiltern seeds, they are rather pricey and - well it was rather a few year back - I was not happy with a few seeds, but the most entertaining catalogue I've seen.
