Got me a plot finally. Giving me a double plot for the price of a single, 1/16 acre.
I get access in about 2 weeks, once the council have prepared it for me... He said it will be weed free and they won't just rotorvate it to spread the weebs, it will be done properly!! Now I am excited.... :)

Clearing your plot for you

A real gardener (like the rest of us) would say...

NO !!!   I'd rather dig it myself

I didnt realise it was difficult to get a plot in some places.  I had a choice of seven or eight at the first one i went to.

I'm still yet to get down there because of either lack of light or poor weather

Congrats. on your plots but remember 2 plots means 2 times the work.
I once took on 2 plots and found i was spending all my time weeding and clearing, hardly any time for planting out. Twas like painting the Forth bridge, never got to the end of it.
You need time on an allotment to sit back and just watch things grow
aaaaaaaaah.

na I won't have 2, because if I get one at the self managed I'll ditch the council one, since I still don't actually have it...

I wish the council would sort mine out. I dont want them to weed/dig as I want to do that. But its took to nearly begging so that they will provide a lorry to take away the tons of rubbish (after i,ve stacked it at the end of the lotty for them) its taken me 5 days up to now and I recon its going to take me another couple of days to complete the pile. Mind you then I can start clearing brambles and get some beds dug. Good luck with the new plot sadgit.
I used to work in a helium gas factory, but I walked out, no one talks to me like that.
