Boy do my chooks not like this wet and windy weather, I've left the large shed door open so they can go and take shelter but oh no! they all stand in a line looking at me through the patio doors with that pityful look 'let us in, let us in', its no good i'm gonna crack in a minute and let them all in to wreak havoc

My Geese (who lets face it should enjoy the wet) have been in & out all day, when they want a drying session Crumb (biggest) taps her beak on the door then all 5 of them troop in

Yep they're in, sticking their heads through the catflap was the final straw.

Never mind, mister katt's gone to watch england v new zealand today so what he don't know about won't hurt him, just got to make sure I find all the chicken poop, he always manages to step in it.

Hey Vember, I hear ducks do big splat poos, I bet you'd break your neck if you slipped on one of those in the kitchen

hens in the house.. OMG my hubby would flip! lol
My girls are happily out in the rain and have a shelter, they know better than to beg or maybe it's just that i look away! lol

I'm just too soft, my other half hates them in the house as well, funny thing is when he's home and the back door is open they stand on the step and don't dare come in (until he turns his back that is)

oh and vember I meant to say geese and not ducks, although I bet geese do even BIGGER splats

I've been duck & Goose skating across our kitchen floor too many times to mention  

An they always sit slap bang in front of the oven door, worst than the dogs for sitting and pooping in the wrong places!

The girls do ask to come and play when the human girls are running aroudn the garden!

I can't tell you the amount of times I find them on the kitchen table or roosting on the arms of the chairs, sometimes I've only popped upstairs for a second..they wait and watch moohahahaha

     I can just imagine!

I did find a Robin in the living room once.. he saw me and flew up to one of the girls bedrooms! I had to talk sweetly for him to believe me when i promised to feed him if he lived outside.. i do and he does!

A couple of months ago when I felt guilty for shooing the girls out of the porch into the wet I built them a lovely shelter like a mini polytunnel. They never went into it and they never go back in the henhouse when it rains but if I leave the porch open or leave the door of the big polytunnel open they are in in a flash.

Winnie with 7 babies that are 3 weeks old brought her babies out in the rain today. I'm now looking for chick macs

I will never forget thinking that Romeo and his girls had gone missing -was ever so upset thinking the fox has got them-only to find them all roosting upstairs!! my OH (I think) had closed the backdoor not realising they had got in thru the backdoor -he was soooo not amused, I just couldn't stop laughing!!
