Fruit trees in tubs

Hi.

The rules of my allotment won't allow me to put any trees in,

has any one got any suggestions on varieties of fruit trees that will grow well in large tubs. :?:

Mostly any trees will grow provided they're dwarf rooting stock only. Otherwise, even a semi-dwarf tree will quickly outgrow its post. You'll need to water it very often and give it regular manure tea as it will quickly deplete the limited nutrients in the tub a swell as any moisture. You can also consider soft fruit like currants which are great in large enough pots.

In last months Grow Your own the menitoned the following website:

Not tried them but thinking about it, they are minarettes (sp), anyone else tried these?

Like you I have limited space am particularly interested in the plums and apples.

If apple trees you need M27 - there was a good thread about it here a few months ago. Give them lots of manure and make sure the pots are large (go to wilkinsons) and have holes in them.
