Flea beetle

All my rocket and spicy salad leaves are totally ruined by flea beetle damage. They taste ok, but look awful in a salad and I can't persuade Oh or anyone else to eat it!

How can I prevent this.... I'd rather not spray.

Enviromesh from Fothergills etc. Very finely woven and you place is over the soil when you sow so they are covered from the off. It's not cheap but it will last for years. I bought a piece at a time cos am poor
