ok buy 4 roof battens from your local builders supplies. or rip down a pallet for the boards and then rip them through length ways .1 inch strips are fine .but 2 is better . take a dozen lemonade bottles the 2 litre jobbbies . and lay the battens down like a noughts and crosses board . now take the lemonde bottles and put them in the squares to form 3 groups of four squares .now mark with a pencil the battens pushed up to the bottles sides to grip them but allowing a little space now cut the tops off the bottles  just to the shoulder of the bottle is about right . now screw the battens together to form a trelllis type affair  now where a batten over laps another drill a hole to take a 6 inch nail tightly so it does not slip down . do this in about 6 locations on the battens , now the frame work should stand on its own , now punch with a hot nail or a solder iron  some holes in the bottom of the bottles . fill with a few crocks ( pebbles  or shingle  ) and then with soil . put your new herb plants in the bottles and pick them when ready ,, and think ,,, munty came up with that idea what a clever bunny he is ..
still alive /............

Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

What are you making? A mobile herb bed?
There are four battens, which make 9 holes, and 12 bottles. How does this make four groups of three?
Have a bit of a problem with imagination, so I tried drawing it.

Like this? No where do the nails go? They  could make a few of these to sell at the May Day shindig - fill them with herbs - Parsley, Chives and Basil say! Brilliant idea! (when I get the hang of it to tell them).
