I'm growing some Sweet Banana peppers.  They're in the plant house with the doors open waiting for space in the ground and they're about a foot and a half tall.  They're obviously a taller variety than the Sweet Orange Baby type I've grown before.  Should I pinch out the tops to encourage them to bush out?

I don't pinch mine, but never have grown these ones.

Thanks Gobs, I've got about half a dozen so I might try a little experiment and pinch out one or two plants to see what happens.

I understood that chillies would bush well if pinched out and sweet peppers would flower and therefore fruit later, if pinched out

I've never done it, just think might do good to these commonly sold sweet peppers with the odd fruits on them, but I'm growing other types instead, which do branch and are prolific like most chillies. Are there exceptions?

I don't pinch mine either I buy the seed but I admit I nick my cucumber seed before sowing.......hehe
