My continuing office greenhouse experiment is proving a roaring success. I'm surrounded by healthy vigorous, disease and pest free green plants.

My problem is they are all starting to flower now - courgettes and toms in particular but no sign of fruits.

Do I need to pollenate them myself do you think?

One of the tom varieties, seems to be a bush type, does have fruits.
Good beer, good BBQ and good friends.

Sounds like your assistance is highly recommended

I've never grown courgettes in a greenhouse before and normally let the birds & the bees get on with it.  Before panicking, are you getting both male & female flowers at the same time - it might be down to wrong timing.  If you are and nothing has happened, then you will have to identify which is which (females tend to be big flowers with an immature fruitlet at the base) and spread the pollen from the male onto it.

For tomatoess, I gently cup my hand under the bunch of flowers and gentle shake going round all the other bunches.  You could use a soft brush like a make up brush if you wanted.
Failure is only a temporary change in direction to set you straight for your next success.
Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.

my dad has just eaten his first courgette grown in the greenhouse, however, he leaves the door open during the day and its always full of bees etc, so must have been polinated by them.  his are doing a lot better than my outdoor ones, and i gave him the plants :(

Don't worry about being behind, you're bound to be, but if yours are planted with plenty of room, I wouldn't mind betting that ultimately you'll get a better crop than a plant cramped into a greenhouse.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've noticed with my courgettes that I get a week or two of only male flowers before the females start opening - and then a couple of weeks after that the neighbours start pretending they're out when I try to palm the extra off on them  :D
