been hatching eggs for the land lord and we lost loads but this 4 hatched today







two are road island red and the others i dont know i think there light sussex

They are so pretty and must be such a relief if you lost loads.  My fav is the white one.  V.cute. :D

i had another hatch today but i had the unpleasant task of haven to kill it

it could only use one leg and its yoke sack and other parts was on the outside of its body  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

so im a bit upset at that i hate haven to do it but poor little thing would have just died

Congratulations on your new chicks. Really sorry about the last one to hatch, haven't had to do that yet but would find it really hard. The rest are beautiful though.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.

well all the eggs he got was meant to be road island reds

but some had L/S  on them but to me its to small to be a light sussex

there is two other eggs from the same batch that have not hatched but are alive just slow to start

as luck would have it one of his choocks has gone broody and is sitting eggs

so i gave her the other two  :lol:
