Our New Plot - A photo diary

The plot has been half cultivated - the lady that had it before used the bit at the top of the first pic near the shed for salads, onions (we still have the remains), strawberries, raspberries etc. She kept bees on the middle bit of the plot and the bottom half (at the bottom of the pic) is uncultivated. The plan is :

Top third will have 8 x 6 shed and 2 small greenhouses along with the fruit in situ and other delicate stuff.

The middle will be cultivated in raised beds as the ground is quite wet due to being near marsh. The soil itself is quite loamy but apparently gets waterlogged in winter.

The bottom third will be left as a grass area and just mown. We will have a few seats & a table there, a BBQ, a couple of fruit trees and some roses, peonies etc which I want to grow for the house. Also comfrey and other bee attractants.
