Well, we've had a brill day    

Dorothy the egg eater has been offered a lovely new home where her bad habits can be tolerated - for which HUGE thanks to Foxy  


It was just wonderful to see all Foxy's beautiful birds - and I've now met (and held   ) Bigfoot     He is stunning ...

And as an added bonus ... OH is now thoroughly convinced on the duck thing and we drove back up the M5 discussing where to put the pond - Result with a Capital R        

Meanwhile Dorothy is making lots of new friends ... and even seems to have found herself her first boyfriend   :oops:

Aww how wonderful! Great pics, and how wonderful you are planning a pond.. there is one on my local freecycle at the moment.. had a chat with my OH but he's right, our dogs, and our 'jumping puddles' youngest wouldn't allow for it.. at the moment

Afte seeing Foxy's picture of the headless duck, my daughter wants DUCKS, don't think daddy will go for it as he only found out recently just how many hens we had, i had only planned to get 6 ( 9 doz eggs in the kitchen kind of gave it away )
conversation went like this,
daddy, hells teeth that's a lot of eggs, how many chickens  did you get?
me, oh, a few,
daddy, exactly how few?
me, oh around 68,
daddy, WHAT!!!!!!!!
did get my own back tho when we pinched a set of his show jumps for the cow shed, they make great perches...................

Now all you've got to decide is what breed to go for  

I'm defo going for Runners next year but for now I'll settle with my little Call ducks

Just to let you Dorothy had settled in very well - Biggins  had taken her under his wing- quite sweet really although Dorothy is a little bemused. Tried to take some pics of just Dorothy however, Biggins like to be the centre of attention and loves his piccy taken he is a real poser as you can tell    

It went like this.....Biggins how nice a piccy of both of you would be lovely!

Seems a bit quiet up here with just the four of them in the garden ... but I have a feeling she'll be VERY happy in her lovely new home
