Hi all, I haven't posted for ages but I had to tell you how chuffed I am! I used Muntys potato technique for spur removal today (I've been thinking of doing it for ages but been too scared) Today though it had to be done and hey hoe off it came clean as a whisle and Clive didn't bat an eye lid. I'm a proper chicken keeper!!!!
Oh and I'm getting four Ex bats at 5:30 today I'm so excited!!!

OK ... so someone please tell me how on earth it was first discovered that you could remove a cockerel's spurs with a baked potato :?: :shock:

my dad and grandad used to do it so it probably goes back beyond that they used to roast the spuds in the fire .we used to do the spurs n eat the spuds .. yum tasty

nahhhhhhhh we ate em after as they had to really hot to do the spurs,, we did wash the spurs before hand
