Japanese onions

Some of these, planted last autumn, are now beginning to flower - but the bulbs aren't very big. Do I just nip the flower stems out?

If they have plenty of foliage on them they should bulk up, when did you plant them, Jeanie?

Thanks for the advice. Will behead any that have flowered while we've been enjoying the scenery in the Scottish highlands !
