nice pics nettynoodles,  my ex-batts are all called Ronnie(short for Veronica). OH is going to look after them today and explain all the hen house rules to them.

glad to see other forum members managed to give some a home.  When I left last night Alison still had loads more left if anyone wants any,  someone was supposed to pick up 170 but didnt turn up!

:) i'm sure they'll get brave enough to peck the cabbage soon enough. :)
My girls have only pecked at some cauli leaves today - first veg they've eaten. :)

Glad they got out into the sun too, they've found a great owner, and will have a new lease on life soon i'm sure. :)

:) Awe, they will soon start to look like chooks again - my 6 ex-batts which I got last August are still alive and kicking and doing very well, so keep up the good work. Keep us informed on them

I have kept my new ex-batts seperate. Once they have been deloused and wormed and had time to adjust (probably a week) they will be in with the rest.

yes i put them straight in with my others and they all got on great!
lol conventgirl it was surreal to be doing a chook hand over in the carpark.esp when we had to swop the chooks ino smaller boxes........visions of chooks going shopping!!! :)  :?  or getting squished.... can u just imagine flagging cars down  saying mind the chickens please

they are all doing really well and their combs are gettin smaller and redder already. 1 is a little weaker that the others but still in ok health, cant say good yet lol.
going to empty out the house again today and give them all fresh bedding again they dont half make a mess.not yet house trained.
