Quite annoyed, I just had to reply, so I sat and ranted a reply back to this stupid topic only to find after trying to submit it, it had been locked

I do understand why you did it as i'm sure it could have got right out of hand and so think you made the right decision, that topic certainly ruffled my feather. :x

its all down to the individual, as too what pets they have and how they treat them.

so not everyone understands us chicken huggers.

i personally dont see the point or would want to keep, snakes, spiders, iguana's or stick insects.

but those who do love their animals.

we like our chooks, and we like chatting to like minded people.

i think we should all send happy thoughts to those who havent had the joy of keeping chickens or that lovely feeling each morning when they repay our kindness and attention with fresh eggs.

we're a happy jolly bunch of people and maybe its best not to let people wind us up because they arent as happy as us. :D

I was very disappointed that it was locked...I think it was a perfectly valid topic and question and although possibly posed to cause friction I really feel that people should have the opportunity to reply. I feel a little (actually VERY) patronised that it was locked so soon, before it had a chance!

I feel absoultly no need to justify how I treat my chickens.  In my eyes they have the PERFEGGT life. That's all that matters to me  :D

If other people can't understand it that's their problem

Can't imagine why anyone WOULDN'T understand the need to personify any creature that is kept as a pet. Last time I was in a pet shop someone had some spidery things in a box. Now THAT'S just wrong !!

But chooks learn where their food comes from same as a cat or rabbit and will treat you with reverence as long as you keep feeding.
