the shell was a floppy sack

Hello I dont think one of my girls is eating the eggs, I found a really 'floppy' shell - it was like the inside membrane or an unhardened shell.
Any way, there was yolk all over the place, including the undercarriage and head of the suspect layer.

Ive withdrawn all treats, (rice pasta etc and corn), and all they are eating is layers pellets hopefully that will do the shell hardening.

Am I on right track or missing important warning signs?
a hen is an egg's way of making another egg

Yes you're on the right track.  Make sure they have oyster grit and add a few drops of cod liver oil to their pellets.

And as you've done NO TREATS  :!:

We would far rather you ask the questions again and again and again than have a chicken suffer or an owner worried because the right information may not be easily found  :!:

There will always be someone here who will help - that's what forums are for  :D
