Am I too late??

Whilst having a clear out in the garage yesterday I found a bag of onion sets I'd forgot I bought, plus a bag of shallots my lottie neighbour gave me :roll:

Is there any point planting them now? Or is it too late?

If you have space and they're not dried out and shrivelled you might as well stick them in, they sure won't come to anything useful if left in the bag.

I found a packet of onion sets that had fallen down the back of my shelf last week. I put them in last Thursday- thought I might as well and to my astonishment by Tuesday they were through the soil. Not sure how well they'll turn out but I never cease to be amazed by how stuff flourishes with all the right ingredients :-)

feed well with growmore or a decent potash feed ... water well they may bolt if you leave them to dry out
