Spud question

We've been growing some spuds in sacks (won't do it again for various reasons), but anyway a lot of the foliage has been munched away by slugs and snails, will the spuds still be OK or destroyed too?  They're earlies - haven't flowered yet.

If Terence wants to flower, far be it from me to tell him what to do Babe, you know I'm for equal rights in all things.

some slugs can do a lot of damage to spuds - so you might be unlucky - i would stick a few slug pellets in the sack after watering it on an evening.
All these moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
