frost again grrr thieving beggars :x
« on: May 24, 2008, 10:28 »
Well in my drunken state last night decided to go a wandering (couldn't sleep, insomnia). Luckily i looked out the window and theres Jack Frost on the cars outside my house.

So in my less than clever state went wandering out in the yard to make sure the runner beans were all right. Then i noticed my plastic greenhouse thingy was partially open. Some thieving ba******ds have nicked one of my blue tubs where the potatoes were growing and two tomato plants!!!!!!!!!!

Not bl**dy impressed i mean why for **** sakes jump over wall and nick some plants is beyond me. Plus i think me cucumbers are about to cark it because of the frost last night.       It wouldnt so bad if they had just shut the bl**dy greenhouse behind them.

Sorry for the rant i'm just seriously narked   :x
Who needs a guard-dog when you can have cats for guards!

Its just sickening hopefully my four year old won't notice they've gone.
The poor little fella planted the tomatoes and cucumbers months ago and he's been out everyday before and after nursery with his little watering can talking to them and saying how big they are.

Luckily i've just sowed four more cucumber seeds and ten more tomato plants. Doubt any fruit will come but at least my little boy can water them.

Think i might invest in some barbed wire and hot tar

That's terrible!     I'm used to having my lotty broken into now and it's a case of 'oh well, better report it to the police' but when they leave doors open that can kill everything else inside that's just downright being a b*st*rd

Why not take a look in the diy stores to see if there's one of those door closing dealies, at least then if they do break in the door will close again behind them if it's a swinging door?

Hiya SnooziSuzi,

Thanks for the advice i tried looking on the net for one, unfortunately i can't get one for the plastic greenhouse thingy because of the zips. Thought about a different greenhouse but the price has put me off. :(

Looks like i'll just to tar the * next time   and cover them feathers and slugs muwhahahaha

Well, I know this sounds harsh and possibly fraught with danger, but a meter or two of razor wire positioned in a careful place may be a good way to exact revenge on these thieving scum!

Sure, if you've got very young kids, it's probably not a good idea - it's also not a good idea if you've got a bad memory and go wandering in the garden at night.

But if you have no worries about such things, it may be just what you need.
Nasty thieves hop over the wall, directly into a bail of razor wire.
I'll bet it'll be the last time they'll ever hop over your wall again!
Jack of all trades, master of none.

reckon they will return to get the rest, you need to be waiting for them.

Hubbys  Aunt and Uncle were having veg pinched from their garden- one day, when aunty was at home ill the thief came up the path picked some leeks and walked back-  Aunty opened the door and gave him a mouthfull! It was her window cleaner!  They didn´t see him again.
Hope the rotters don´t come back and your veggies survive the frost.

Your poor little un.. could you sneak some toms onto branches or at hte base and kid on that they grew? So he gets rewards for his labour later on? If you were nearer i'd say you could have some of mine.

And yes.. being peeved.. is definately allowed!
