Have had an allotment in Spain - 400 to 800 mtrs square for ten years. Are their others doing likewise?

We are in the Valencia region but have walked in the Alpujaras several times ..indeed its where our raspberry canes came from.....a little hot here for them but they trive well with a deep comfrey and compost mulch ..fruit from may until december!!
All the best.

Got your book handscombe2! What a read, full of great hints and tips!

Do you still need large pumpkin seeds as mentioned in the other post?

Got some unusual tomatoes that you wont get in Spain!!! (not very adventurous as you know! but damn good at growing staples) I'll PM my list if you like

Hi we are close to Sevilla, we have mostly orange trees and a couple of olive trees.  We are trying to grow veg, I am getting prepared for the big planting coming up soon. We are chopping down one of the olive trees so we can have room for more veg and some flowers. We have cold mornings now but lovely and warm afternoons up to the mid 20´s yesterday. We have had a couple of frosty mornings but not too many.  Most days now we can sit outside and eat our dinner once the sun has come onto the patio.

Have you got a spare room?
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.
