We have 4 hens that we got 3 weeks ago. 2 marans only 15 wks (Ike and Tina) , the other two 23 wks.

One (BopBop) has been laying since we got her and always inside the door of the hen house, because the nest boxes were only added to the side of the hen house last week. But since they have been added she has laid in the nest box!! All happy.

The other (Henny Penny) 23wker we've been anxiously waiting for her first egg.

Today DH found an egg on the grass outside the house, thought it was a bit odd.

Then this evening as i put them to bed i found another egg in almost the same  spot could BopBop lay two eggs today? One at lunchtime and another this evening? She does skip days and then lay double yolkers, but i understand this is because she's quite new to the whole thing. Or is Henny Penny also starting to deliver?
