Melons

Hi,

i just bought some melon seeds and was going to plant the seeds out under clotches next to my greenhouse 9so fairly sheltered. I have no idea how long they take to grow. Would people advise whether to wait a little bit longer due to frost or pop the seeds out now?

I have the same question with some white pumpkin seeds.

Any advice much appreciated.

Depends on the variety, but you should bet them in now.  Keep them protected - can you germinate them indoors?

Must get mine in this week too.

Hi,

I've 2 varieties, but may save one lot of seeds for next year. I have:

Castella (Amber Nectar)
Watermelon (Yellow baby)

We've just got the greenhouse fully 'glassed-up), so I could germinated them in there, I wasnt't sure if it's be best just to plant them directly into the soil.

You'll have to excuse my general useless-ness but if I was going to grow it in the greenhouse - what would I keep/grow it in?
