Two Japanese Silkie Bantams -roosters are now in need of a home.
Ryukku- 7 month black rooster, very sweet natured, lovely voice. Has a distinctive interest in the ladies and treats them a lot differently and a lot more gently in comparrsion with his counter-part Russel.
Has been treated for feather mites and vacinated.
Very healthy, like his counter-part, and is very handsome -email me for photos. Has the standard five toes.
Russel- 7 month white rooster, very sweet natured -if not a little over protective of his flock from animals such as rabbits(!). A not so impressive crow, however, a much more noticable range of vocal sounds. Perfectly formed wattle with lovely electric blue ear-lobes, and the standard five toes.
Is interested in the females, and enjoys putting them in their place with the rather 'cave man' style nip on the side he often gives my poulets and hen.
Has been treated for feather mites and vacinated.
I would like for both these roosters to stay together. I would be interested in trading them in for three hens.
Both the roosters are very nice, meet standard requirements -and are therefore good for breeding. I bought them from a breeder, so their line is pure, and both deserve a good home.
I will accept three hens, or three female poulets.
Please PM me for more information.
This would have to be a pick up arrangement.
Still looking for a home for these two.
-A lot of people have tried to make out that my hasty wish to trade them is because they are sick or defective in some form or fashion.
This is a lie.
We bought them at a young age, when both; they were small, and I was small in knowledge of chickens.
Only after having gone to wales and back to get the chickens did we later realise we had got two males.
Oh dear.
So our only reason to try and rid ourselves of these two lovely, sweet, and in my opinion handsome couple, is only because of their noise.
GCSE exams are when I need sleep the most.
I can tell you how unimpressed I was to be awoken by crowing on my day off. 6am- I stormed down stairs, swung open the coop door, and put them in a carrying crate, locked them in the shed with a blanket over them.
I had a four hour sleep, they had a four hour think about how rude they were.
I never intended to keep roosters, and now hope someone is willing to have them.
Thank you for reading, I hope you wish to have these two.
