I planted my Jersey Royals 5 weeks ago, as the weather was too cold before that.
So far there is only one showing, from about a week ago. I don't want to start rooting around in case I damage them, but when I read that some peoples are nearly flowering  :shock: I wonder if mine are duds?

Work with your hands to carefully find the tubers. Pull back a bit of soil to see if its rotted or sprouting and you'll know for sure. 5 weeks for spuds is a bit long.

How deep did you plant the spuds?  

Mine were 3" deep and took about 4 weeks to come up - now theres no stopping them!

Don't despair just yet - if 1's come up hopefully ythe rest won't be far behind!

My first one came up 3 weeks ago, but they were planted nearly 7 weeks ago. The others were a week or 2 behind it, so I wouldn't worry yet

Yes, I should think there is plenty of hope for them. That one just needed to be such a little bit less deeply planted...
