Do you give your chooks live ones or dried ones or both?

We give our girls the dried ones they absolutley bonkers for them!

They smell like pork scratchings and very expensive ones too!

They even know the sound the lid makes when I'm getting them some out!!!

Where can I buy these? If they love them that much I've got to try them with them. I sometimes get a few 'proper' worms from my wormery to give them a special treat - I take it that's ok?

As I walked down to feed the hens, I used to collect those little white slugs that appear on the grass early morning...they loved them too...like croissants with breakfast maybe??!!

You can buy the dried mealworms in the garden centre - in the wild bird food section.

just bought mine some meal worms never feed them b4 heres hoping they like them.........

had to trick them into bed last night as i had ran out of corn....... used the bag of grit...... dont think it will work twice lol.

Live ones can be bought from pet shops. They are bought by people to feed their lizards and things. They are about 2.40 a box

Dried mealworms arrived today.

I now have four new very close friends. They loved them.

I'll be trying my best to get them to eat from my hand now.

ooooh mine went mad for the mealworms......... wont eat out of my hand tho thank god sooner just chuck the things in for them
