Woody Needs a Home
« on: May 07, 2008, 19:10 »
Been lurking in the background for a while and found this fourm very helpful.  Got my broody and 2 eggs a couple of weeks before easter and she has hatched both chicks. One of the chicks is male and unfortunately I live in a very residential area so he has to find a new home.  Contacted place where got the eggs as they said would have any males back, but found out that they will just dispatch him.  Can't face taking him back but he can't stay either.  He is an eight week old bantam but not sure of breed.

He is a lovely little chap, tried to convince hubby to move somewhere more rural but he's not going for it.   :)   Hope someone can help, I am in the Nottinghamshire area.

no started out in green house in march and planted peas out a few weeks ago.  Luckly chickens leaving them alone.

Has he found a new home? Unfortunately I can't offer him one but you might like to try 'free to good home advert' on Bird Trader or Pekin Bantams forum or both?? That would get max people to see it then theres a chance someone in your area might want him.
