GROWING PUMPKINS
« on: May 06, 2008, 16:07 »
I would like to have a go at growing pumpkins this year. I had a look on growing instructions on the BBC web site and its instructions state that I have to train the leaves using wires. Would someone please explain this to me as I am unsure of what they mean:)
Thanks!!

For support and tidy, if you let them trail on ground, it's unnecessary.

Climbing support is tricky as a lot of fruit is heavy, best left to smaller fruited varieties, which quite commonly still will need extra support bags for the fruit.
